About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative / Forklift Driver to join our client s team. This role is key to ensuring the efficient handling, storage and distribution of building materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Picking, packing and preparing orders accurately for delivery or customer collection
• Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently
• Checking incoming goods against delivery notes and reporting discrepancies
• Storing products in the correct locations within the warehouse and yard
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
• Assisting customers with collections in a professional and helpful manner
• Operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts
• Following all health and safety procedures at all times

Requirements

• Previous warehouse or yard experience, ideally within a builder s merchant or similar environment
• Happy to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Good level of physical fitness due to manual handling requirements
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills
• A valid forklift licence (essential)
• Basic knowledge of building materials (advantageous)

Salary: Up to £32,000 DOE
Hours - Monday - Friday + alternate Saturday mornings
