Quantity Surveyor (Permanent)

Salary: 45,000 - 55,000
Location: Chesterfield (Hybrid)
Hours: 40 per week
Requirement: DBS check

The Role

An established organisation within the renewable energy sector is looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to support its growing Solar PV projects portfolio. Operating within a wider Power & Grid division, this role will play a key part in commercial delivery, cost management, and project performance.

Key Duties

• Support monthly cost reporting and CVR production
• Manage project budgets, forecasting, and financial performance
• Administer contracts in line with agreed terms
• Oversee cash flow and financial tracking across projects
• Handle subcontractor accounts from measurement through to final account
• Attend commercial and project meetings, including site visits
• Assist with client interaction alongside senior team members
• Provide guidance to junior staff and ensure internal compliance

Requirements

• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent)
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of contract law (NEC preferred)
• Commercially aware with solid financial skills
• Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel
• Basis DBS check
