Job Description
You will be working for an independent construction cost consultancy delivering high quality quantity surveying and project cost management services. Working across commercial, residential, hospitality, retail, student accommodation and life sciences sectors you will provide consultancy with a strong focus on collaboration, sustainability, and delivering value for clients.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a growing company and gain hands on experience across a broad range of construction projects. The successful candidate will work closely with senior surveyors and directors, supporting the commercial and contractual management of schemes from early feasibility and cost planning stages through procurement, delivery and final account.
- Assisting in the preparation of detailed cost plans, budgets and feasibility estimates at different project stages.
- Supporting the production of tender documentation, bills of quantities, and contract particulars.
- Helping to manage tender processes, analyse returns, and contribute to tender recommendations.
- Preparing interim valuations, cost reports, and change control documentation for internal and client review.
- Monitoring project costs, variations, and potential commercial risks throughout the construction phase.
- Supporting contract administration duties in line with the relevant form of building contract.
- Attending client, contractor, consultant, and design team meetings and preparing follow-up actions where required.
- Contributing to final account agreement and close-out processes at project completion.
