Quantity Surveyor

Waites Recruitment Consultancy are seeking an Experienced Civils Quantity Surveyor on a full time basis for a client based in Rochdale.

Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager

Reports directly to Director

Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager is responsible for:

All company commercial aspects, including raising applications / invoices, credit, payments, disputes

Responsibilities

• Vetting & responding to sub contract orders, minutes of meetings etc.
• Ensuring sufficient client credit is obtained, or satisfactory payment plan.
• Attending pre contract meetings
• Communicating with customer at key points before and during the works and obtaining customer consent on all Financial variations
• Raising applications / invoices, Vat receipts.
• Reviewing & resolving payment / payless notices.
• Reviewing & preparation of collateral warranty documents.
• Working with external accountant & internal system to ensure accurate cost reporting of the contracts
• Insurance queries

• Requirements

• Understanding of Construction Contract Laws and good working knowledge of Forms of Contracts
• Multi-site project management skills
• BS degree or similar in Civil Engineering
• Good working knowledge of Foundations ideally, but not necessary.
