Quantity Surveyor Interior Fit-Out & Drylining Contractor - Essex
Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor ready to take the next step in your career with a growing and ambitious drylining and interior fit-out contractor?
Our client delivers high-quality drylining, plastering, screeding, and interior fit-out services across London and the South East. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are seeking a driven, commercially focused, and career-minded Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding team.
The Role:
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will take ownership of the commercial and financial management of multiple projects, ranging in value from £300k to £4m. You ll collaborate closely with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure commercial targets are met and projects are delivered on time and within budget. This role is office based (8:00am - 5:00pm) in Essex with time also spent on-site in London.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage project cost plans, budgets, and cash flow forecasts
- Oversee subcontractor procurement, valuations, and payments
- Conduct site visits, valuations, and cost reporting
- Monitor and manage variations, changes, and associated costs
- Support tenders, procurement strategies, and contract negotiations
- Prepare interim valuations and final accounts
- Build strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Identify, manage, and mitigate commercial and contractual risks
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within drylining, fit-out, or interior construction sectors
- Strong knowledge of construction methods and contracts (preferably JCT)
- Highly numerate with excellent analytical and negotiation skills
- Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and commercial project software
- Salary up to £70,000 (depending on experience)
- Travel expenses covered
- 23 days holiday, with additional days for length of service
