Location: New Eltham with sites in London - hybrid working after probation is passed
Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum + company car or car allowance circa £5000
Due to growth, my client is looking to add a Quantity Surveyor to their team to manage the commercial aspects of an exclusive 8-year framework as the sole supplier for all building and renewals work on High Speed 1. This is a massive opportunity to join a dedicated team at the very beginning of a landmark project.
Unlike typical maintenance roles, this position is heavily focused on projects, giving you the chance to manage the full lifecycle of schemes valued in the millions. You won't be a small cog in a large machine; you will have significant autonomy and the opportunity to make a real impact on our commercial processes, working closely with the Commercial Manager.
Your duties as a Quantity Surveyor will include:
Assist in developing and maintaining project budgets, ensuring cost control throughout.
Review and comment on the latest programmes while providing accurate forecasts
Compile, review and submit periodic applications to the client
Evaluate and negotiate applications and contracts with suppliers.
Monitor and manage variations, valuations, and final accounts for both the client and suppliers.

Requirements:
Minimum 4 years experience as a Quantity Surveyor
Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within the rail sector. Candidates from highways or other regulated transport sectors with strong NEC knowledge will also be considered.
Degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management preferred
Experience working on High Speed projects preferred
