Site Manager – Pipework Installation
Location: Hinkley Point C, Somerset
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week (Onsite)

About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead the safe and effective delivery of pipework installation on a major nuclear project at Hinkley Point C.
In this role, you will oversee all aspects of installation activities including welding, pipe supports, and mechanical works, ensuring delivery aligns with project specifications, safety standards, quality requirements, and programme targets.
You’ll play a key leadership role in driving a strong nuclear safety culture, coordinating site teams, and ensuring compliance with project procedures and contractual obligations.
Key Responsibilities
- Construction Delivery: you will Oversee daily piping installation (spools, welding, supports). Ensure safe, efficient delivery to specifications. Coordinate site teams and monitor progress
- Health, Safety & Environment: Promote a strong safety-first culture, Ensure compliance with permits and safety procedures, Lead toolbox talks and site safety activities.
- Planning & Coordination: Ensure workface readiness (materials, access, permits), Liaise with planning, logistics, and engineering teams
- Quality & Compliance: Ensure adherence to QA standards, ITPs, and welding procedures, Support inspections, NDT, and handover activities
- Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement: Lead site teams and supervise workforce, Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and contractors.
Experience and Qualifications
- Proven experience delivering projects under NEC3 contracts.
- Strong background in mechanical or piping installation on major projects.
- Experience in highly regulated environments (nuclear, energy, oil & gas, petrochemical).
- Track record working on large-scale infrastructure or power generation projects.
- Experience supporting mechanical completion and commissioning readiness
- Engineering or Construction-related qualification
- SMSTS (or equivalent)
