Our client is seeking a talented Senior Town Planner to join their growing team. The Role

As a Senior Town Planner, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality planning advice to a broad client base. You will manage your own projects, contribute to business development initiatives, and provide guidance to junior team members.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a varied portfolio of planning projects from inception through to determination.
  • Preparing and submitting planning applications, appeals, and supporting documentation.
  • Undertaking planning appraisals and providing strategic planning advice.
  • Liaising with local authorities, stakeholders, consultants, and clients.
  • Preparing reports, planning statements, and representations.
  • Monitoring planning policy developments and advising clients accordingly.
  • Supporting and mentoring junior planners within the team.
  • Assisting with client relationship management and business development activities.


About You

The successful candidate will possess:

  • MRTPI qualification (or working towards chartership with significant relevant experience).
  • Proven experience within a planning consultancy, local authority, or developer environment.
  • Strong knowledge of the UK planning system and planning policy framework.
  • Excellent report writing and communication skills.
  • Experience managing planning applications and client relationships.
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to identify opportunities for clients.
  • A proactive, collaborative, and solutions-focused approach.
