Job Description

Housing Manager

Brockley, South East London

Up to £35,000 basic

I'm currently recruiting for an experienced Housing Manager to join a well-established housing and property services organisation managing a diverse portfolio of affordable homes across the UK.

This is an excellent opportunity for a housing professional who is passionate about delivering outstanding resident services, managing tenancies effectively, and making a positive impact within local communities.

The Role

As Housing Manager, you will take ownership of a designated housing patch, acting as the main point of contact for residents and stakeholders. You'll be responsible for delivering a high-quality housing management service focused on tenancy sustainment, resident satisfaction, community engagement, and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage tenancy and leasehold matters across your patch.
  • Handle resident enquiries, complaints, and correspondence in a professional and timely manner.
  • Lead on anti-social behaviour case management and resolution.
  • Oversee the voids and lettings process, ensuring targets are achieved.
  • Manage tenancy issues in line with housing legislation, policies, and statutory requirements.
  • Work closely with local authorities, contractors, and partner organisations to resolve housing-related issues.
  • Conduct estate inspections and ensure communal areas are maintained to a high standard.
  • Support resident engagement initiatives and community events.
  • Build strong relationships with residents, client representatives, and key stakeholders.

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

  • Previous experience in a Housing Officer, Housing Manager, Tenancy Management, or similar housing management role.
  • Strong knowledge of social housing legislation and housing management practices.
  • Experience managing complex tenancy and anti-social behaviour cases.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong report writing and case management skills.
  • A proven track record of delivering positive outcomes for residents and improving service performance.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing organisation that places residents at the heart of its services and offers genuine opportunities for career development.

If you're an experienced housing professional looking for your next challenge, I'd be keen to hear from you.
