Electrician

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrician to join our team in the marine transportation industry. The Electrician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment on a new build vessel. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of electrical systems, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. * Installation: * Install and commission new electrical systems, wiring, and equipment on newly built or refurbished vessels. * Ensure all installations comply with marine industry safety standards, codes, and regulations. * Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: * Use electrical testing equipment to identify electrical faults, circuit problems, or failures in systems. * Repair or replace malfunctioning electrical components, ensuring minimal downtime of vessels. Qualifications: * Education & Certification: * Technical degree or certification in electrical engineering or a related field (JIB preferred). * Skills: * In-depth knowledge of electrical circuits, wiring diagrams, and control systems specific to marine environments. * Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues and provide effective solutions. * Proficient with electrical testing tools and diagnostic equipment. * Additional Requirements: * Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights, as required. * Ability to work long hours, including weekends, and holidays. * Strong communication and problem-solving skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team
