Job Description

The Maintenance Planning Engineer (Electrical) will be responsible for planning and coordinating maintenance activities and projects to ensure optimal equipment performance within an industrial and manufacturing environment. This role requires an individual with an electrical focus and a keen eye for detail to support the engineering and manufacturing department effectively.

Description

  • Plan and schedule maintenance tasks to ensure minimal disruption to production.
  • Manage large scale breakdowns and orchestrate remedial actions
  • Manage contractors and schedules
  • Conduct Risk assessments
  • Coordinate with the engineering team to prioritise and allocate resources effectively.
  • Develop and manage preventive maintenance schedules for electrical systems.
  • Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements or upgrades.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and associated costs.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and contractors for specialised maintenance requirements.
  • Support the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives within the department.

Profile

A successful Maintenance Planning Engineer (Electrical) should have:

  • A relevant qualification in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in maintenance planning within the industrial or manufacturing sector.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems and maintenance processes.
  • Proficiency in using maintenance planning software and tools.
  • An understanding of health and safety practices within an engineering environment.
  • Effective communication and organisational skills.
