Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor - Residential Focus
Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire
Salary: £65,000 - £85,000 (DOE) + Excellent Benefits

The Company
A leading construction consultancy, highly regarded for delivering major residential schemes across the UK, is looking to appoint a Senior or Associate Quantity Surveyor in Leeds. Known for excellence in Build to Rent (BtR) and Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA), the company is expanding due to continued project wins and long-term growth plans.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven QS to join a top-tier consultancy and work on landmark residential developments.
The Role
The successful candidate will take a lead role in delivering full pre- and post-contract cost consultancy on complex residential projects. This includes managing stakeholder relationships and, where appropriate, mentoring junior staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage cost planning, procurement, and contract administration on BtR, PBSA, and mixed-use developments
- Provide strategic commercial advice and project reporting throughout the project lifecycle
- Oversee tendering and cost control procedures in line with JCT and/or NEC contracts
- Support junior QS staff with guidance and technical input
- Represent the business in client meetings and external stakeholder engagements
- Contribute to business development activity as required
Requirements:
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
- MRICS status or working towards chartership
- Substantial commercial experience gained within a leading consultancy environment
- Proven expertise in delivering residential-led developments (BtR, PBSA, etc.)
- Excellent knowledge of UK construction contracts and cost management procedures
- Confident communicator with strong client-facing skills
- Leeds-based or willing to relocate
