Base Salary: £75 - £100K

About the Role:

We are seeking an Estimator from a Civil Engineering background to join our well-respected client. This is a very exciting role working on some very prestigious and high value projects across the UK.

As an Estimator, you will bring your expertise in estimation of a variety of projects including but not limited to infrastructure, rail, highways, bridges and groundworks to name a few.


Key Responsibilities:

Be part of the Commercial Team working on projects that can exceed £300M in value

Carry out site surveys along with the Quantity Surveyors and/or Commercial Managers

NEC3/4 Contract management and administration upstream and downstream

Be a key player in the tendering part of the process

Liaise with other Estimators, Quantity Surveyors and Commercial Managers

Attend stakeholder meetings

Liaise and consult with suppliers

Be part of the procurement process

Identify and manage risks and opportunities.

Contribute towards project financial monitoring and reporting, interrogate outputs, implement actions


Required Qualifications & Skills:

A related Degree such as Civil Engineering, Construction Management or Quantity Surveying etc is highly desirable but not a prerequisite.


Essential:

A previous career history in the Civil Engineering industry

A solid work history of working in a similar role

Be fluent with Estimation software such as Sage, Heavybid or Planswift for example

You must have the right to work in the UK


Desirable

Educated to degree level

Civil Engineering experience and background

Main contractor and/or joint venture experience

An experienced user of the NEC3-4 suite of contracts

Able to prioritise the delivery of the objectives of their role

Good communication skills
